The Niners got $42 million from the Santa Clara Redevelopment Agency. The Warriors Arena got $100 million in transit related public funding. The Giants received $40 million in public funding not including transportation improvements which the public also foot the bill for.

These all are public-private partnerships. The A’s moving to Las Vegas was because the government In Oakland didn’t know what it was doing. It was too slow – three years too slow.

Even Mayor Schaaf admitted the redevelopment process and tax increment financing I learned back in 1987 from Oakland Assistant City Manager Ezra Rapport was something foreign to her people!
