Since the level of impairment varies among players, each athlete has to wear a dark mask. The batter swings toward the sound of the ball and runs toward the sound of the base, hoping to get there before the opposing team’s outfielders, also unsighted, can get to the ball. A wrong-way driver crashed on the 405 Freeway at the end of a chase in West Los Angeles. The chase began after a disturbance call in Venice, where the driver struck several patrol cars before heading the wrong way on the 405 Freeway in Brentwood and crashing into cars and a big rig.
