Hundreds of Girl Scouts shut down the Tower Bridge in Sacramento for four hours Saturday as part of a special event that encourages the scouts to look back at their accomplishments over the past year and set goals for the future. The Girl Scouts Heart of Central California’s Capitol Bridging event is a tradition for the girls as they “move from one level to the next, from being a daisy to being a brownie to being a junior,” CEO Linda Farley said. “We actually actually celebrate that, and we call it bridging, so no better way than to close the Tower Bridge down and to allow our girls to walk across.” Leticia Ordaz reports.
