$2,000 worth of health supplements stolen from Roseville store

Several expensive supplement products created by the companies Enzymedica and Nordic Naturals were stolen from Sunrise Natural Foods in Roseville Thursday afternoon, according to the store’s manager and owner. Surveillance video given to KCRA 3 shows two men walking into the store with puffer vests. The security footage also appears to show the men holding bottles of the supplements behind their backs and stuffing them into their vest pockets. Sunrise Natural Foods manager Laura Ryan said they were in and out of the store within just about three minutes. “It’s 100% disheartening. Was I shocked? Mom and 2 kids escape home destroyed in Elverta fire, Cal Fire says

A single-story home was destroyed in a fire in Elverta on Tuesday afternoon, Cal Fire said. The fire broke out on Baseline Road around 2 p.m. Cal Fire’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit said they believe the fire started in the attic and 25 mph winds pushed it through the rest of the home. A mother and two children were in the house at the time of the fire but were able to get out safely with their animals, Cal Fire said. The fire’s cause is under investigation. Rat poison spills onto roadway after crash involving bus in Sacramento

At least two people had minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into a bus Tuesday morning in south Sacramento. Emergency medical services were dispatched around 8:32 a.m. to Power Inn Road and 38th Avenue. A hazmat crew was also dispatched because a vehicle was leaking rat poison, the Sacramento Fire Department said.
