LIVE from Davos 2026 as Howard Lutnick and Rachel Reeves participate in a high-profile World Economic Forum panel discussion, with global trade tensions taking centre stage. The panel comes amid renewed concerns after former US President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariff measures, unsettling markets and reigniting fears of a global trade slowdown. The discussion is expected to focus on the impact of protectionism, inflation risks, supply-chain disruptions, and the outlook for growth in major economies.President Donald Trump renewed threats of sweeping tariffs, unsettling markets and raising fears of a fresh trade war. China’s remarks are being closely watched for signals on trade policy, supply chains, economic growth, and Beijing’s response to rising protectionism. Trump said he doesn’t expect too much pushback on his Greenland plan, ahead of his meetings at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Taking aim at the French president, Trump posted a screenshot of a message from Emmanuel Macron questioning the US position on Greenland. Trump also dismissed Macron’s decision not to join the “Board of Peace” aimed at rebuilding Gaza, saying “nobody wants him.” Russian President Vladimir Putin is among those invited to join the board. The US president, Donald Trump, has suggested Britain’s decision to cede the Chagos Islands to Mauritius is among the reasons he wants to take over Greenland. In a Truth Social post, he said the UK’s plan to hand over sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius is an “an act of GREAT STUPIDITY”. He said: Shockingly, our “brilliant” NATO Ally, the United Kingdom, is currently planning to give away the Island of Diego Garcia, the site of a vital U.S. Military Base, to Mauritius, and to do so FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. #europeanunion #DAVOS #ursulavonderleyen #greenland #wef2026 #worldeconomicforum #cnbctv18 #livenews#WEF2026 #Davos2026 #WorldEconomicForum #SpiritOfDialogue #globalceos #aidisruption #globaluncertainty #trumptariffs #artificialintelligenceinvestments #climatechange #aiadoption #globalgrowth #cnbctv18 #cnbctv18market #businessnews #businessnewstoday #businessnewsinenglish #sharemarkettoday

Note from Oakland News Now Blog, Zennie62 YouTube, and Zennie62Media: this Oakland News Online Blog video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018, originally on Zennie62Media , Inc.’s Oakland News Now. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a “liked” YouTube video by a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then that YouTube video is uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Online Blog site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for Oakland News Online Blog, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners. This process is entirely within YouTube terms of service, where embedding of videos for use on websites and platforms is allowed and encouraged.
