USGS REPORT Nov 9: Episode 36 of the ongoing HalemaÊ»umaÊ»u eruption began at 11:15 a.m HST on November 9 and is currently fountaining from both the north and south vents.Past episodes have produced incandescent lava fountains over 1000 feet (300 meters) high that produce eruptive plumes up to 20,000 feet (6000 meters) above ground level. According to the National Weather Service, winds are blowing from the northeast direction, which suggests that volcanic gas emissions and volcanic material may be distributed to the southwest of the summit of KÄ«lauea..All eruptive activity is confined to HalemaÊ»umaÊ»u crater within HawaiÊ»i Volcanoes National Park; commercial airports in Hawaii County (KOA and ITO) will not be affected by this activity.Episode 36 was preceded by over 180 of lava overflow-drainback events at the north vent beginning on November 3 at 12:46 a.m. HST and at the south vent beginning on November 4 at 1:39 a.m. HST. At 11:15 a.m. HST fountaining began at the to increase dramatically at the north vent and began at the south vent. Currently, fountains from the north vent are about 500 feet (150 meters) high. South vent fountains are about one third as high.Inflationary tilt reached just over 27 microradians since the end of the last episode. Summit tilt measured at UWD switched from inflationary to deflationary at about 11:00 a.m. HST, about 15 minutes before fountains and tremor began to increase..Most episodes of HalemaÊ»umaÊ»u lava fountaining since December 23, 2024, have continued for around a day or less and have been separated by pauses in eruptive activity lasting generally at least several days.KÄ«lauea Volcano Alert Level/Aviation Color Code remain at WATCH/ORANGE. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for Oakland News Online Blog, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners. This process is entirely within YouTube terms of service, where embedding of videos for use on websites and platforms is allowed and encouraged.
