Owner and Chef, Na’o Leonard, shared how she started with her business, “I started my first company called Nao & Bradley first. It was for washing pets with a microbubble machine. I dedicated it to my fur baby, Bradley. After Covid, I started working at a café and finding myself passionate for food. I always felt I needed good and nutritious food so I created my first and very popular vegetable sandwich called “Rainbow Sandwich” so Na’o & Bradley was for animals, and Healing Kitchen 808 is for humans.” Inside her Rainbow sandwich you can expect vegan bread from a Japanese bakery, cucumbers, carrots, pickled cabbage, tofu spread, and macadamia nut pesto. Na’o uses fresh ingredients from Ahiki acres in Waimānalo. She specifically uses their beautiful kale, sprout, and cucumber for many of her goods. She also uses Kahumana Farm’s vegetables for carrots and other natural ingredients. Besides her Rainbow Sandwich, Na’o also makes her pickled red cabbage, macadamia nut pesto, and a tofu spread for her sandwiches from scratch, all of which can be purchased in jars at her pop-up tent as well. You can find all her healthy and ono eats at local pop-up markets around the community.
