Saints QB Jameis Winston Injury Update And Andy Dalton Matter From Talks With Winston’s Reps (No, Not Author 1of!)

Here’s the status of New Orleans QB Jameis Winston and some background thinking provided by the Florida State National Champion and Heisman Trophy Winner’s representatives in exclusive communication with me, Zennie Abraham, CEO of Zennie62Media, Inc..

First Jameis Winston is recovering from a back fracture and hip high ankle sprain. The back problem was caused after repeated sacks during the Atlanta Falcons game that saw Winston throw for 212 yards in the 4th quarter to engineer the most remarkable comeback in Saints history. It was during that contest when Winston went into the medical tent, then went back into the game, and later said he was experiencing “pain” all over his body.

While he dressed for the Bengals Game, Winston did not play because Coach Allen and Winston’s camp did not believe he was fully ready to play. Andy Dalton was brought in not to compete for the starting job against Jameis but because Jameis was limited all off season as his primary objective was rehabilitating his torn ACL. That’s the reason the organization brought Andy Dalton in so that he could take the first team reps that Jameis could not. It was stated when Andy Dalton signed that his role would be to back-up Jameis, not replace him. So the tweets put out by some reporters indicating that possibility were completely wrong.

The organization could have stated from the beginning that there would be a quarterback competition as they did that in 2021. They did not however. Rolling into the season without Sean Payton as the play caller the team had to find it’s identity. The first few weeks saw a team that had not found an identity. The offensive system was not able to manufacture many easy yards in the running game nor the passing game. The two-minute drill is where they had most of their success.

Jameis’ camp added this to me: “Having had those struggles the Saints looked to find ways to better move the ball, searching for an identity where they could sustain drives. Over the past few weeks we’ve seen the running game come alive and perform at a league leading level. Looking through Jameis career he, as well as many QBs, have routinely won games when their team rushed for over 200 yds on the ground.”

Jameis’ camp says It would have been nice to install this running game that we’ve seen before the season as it helps with having an identity on offense, and acts as a QBs best friend. They say it allows for more effective play action and also allows for less predictable play-calling as the offense isn’t consistently facing 3rd and long. Jameis’ camp says “The league is about adjustments and that is a good adjustment that they’ve made over the past few weeks.”

Note from Oakland News Now Blog, Zennie62 YouTube, and Zennie62Media: this Oakland News Online Blog video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018, originally on Zennie62Media , Inc.’s Oakland News Now. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a “liked” YouTube video by a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then that YouTube video is uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Online Blog site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for Oakland News Online Blog, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners. This process is entirely within YouTube terms of service, where embedding of videos for use on websites and platforms is allowed and encouraged.
