Some are panning the Golden State Warriors selection of Michigan’s Jordan Poole as its NBA Draft 2019 1st Round Selection.
The general claim is that Jordan Poole is a bad value pick. But those who say that forget the Warriors use analytics to make their decisions. From that perspective, Poole is the best at doing what Golden State needs: a player who can shoot and make 3s a lot.
Last NCAA basketball season Poole shot over 3 3s per game. That’s an automatic nine points you can add to the team’s total scoring output. Not bad.
