Can Rebecca Kaplan Beat Libby Schaaf In The 2018 Oakland Mayoral Election?
A source told me last night that Oakland Councilmember Rebecca Kaplan is considering a run for Mayor of Oakland – once again.
Could the third time be the charm against Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf? Kaplan has ran for Mayor two times: in 2010 and 2014. She lost to Jean Quan and then to Libby Schaaf, but has been re-elected as At-Large Councilmember three times: 2008, 2012, and 2016.
Now, with an Oakland electorate used to her and with two candidates she challenged having posted luke warm reactions by Oaklanders, 2018 just may be Kaplan’s year. If she runs. via IFTTT
