Smiley previously ran for Washinton Senate in 2022 and eventually lost to Patty Murray.In a tweet announcing her candidacy, Smiley wrote, “My journey to politics started at Walter Reed Army Hospital almost 20 years ago when I pushed back against gov dysfunction and won.
