A camera was found hidden in bushes Monday night outside a home in Alhambra where an attempted burglary was reported.Alhambra Police said camouflage cameras are used in residential burglaries to allow thieves to gather information about homeowners’ daily routines and know when to strike.Hidden cameras have also been found outside homes in Garden Grove, Glendale, Chino Hills, Lost Hills, Calabasas and other residential areas.

Illegal fireworks injure people near Hermosa Beach Pier

An explosion of illegal fireworks was caught on camera near the #HermosaBeach Pier. Several people were injured by the fireworks, which witnesses said were set off by a group of teens on e-bikes Saturday outside bars and other businesses near Pier Plaza. Officials said that video helped them identify the teen who set off the fireworks. That boy has not yet been arrested. Police said he could be facing charges anywhere from a misdemeanor of lighting a firework in a public place to a felony assault with a deadly weapon.
