Fire tears through downtown LA building after explosions

Witnesses heard and felt powerful explosions before this fire in downtown LA. Flames spread quickly through the vacant building and sent a cloud of thick smoke over Skid Row. Fire crews protected an adjacent three-story apartment building from the fire. The building was vacant, but there appeared to be pressurized cylinders inside. It was not immediately clear for what the cylinders were being used or how the fire started. There were no reports of injuries.
