Placer County judge to sentence man for fentanyl murder

A jury in September found Carson Schewe guilty of second-degree murder after he gave a fentanyl-laced pill to 20-year-old Kade Webb, cousin of San Francisco Giants player Logan Webb, in 2021. The Placer County District Attorney’s Office called the defendant Webb’s drug dealer.
