Greetings OUSD Community,
Earlier today (June 2, 2022), the Alameda County Public Health Department issued an order, effective tomorrow, June 3, that once again requires masking in all indoor spaces in the county. Due to this order, all individuals (e.g., students, staff, contractors, visitors, and volunteers) are required to wear a mask indoors at all OUSD sites. This includes, but isn’t limited to: K-12 facilities running summer programming, as well as all young adult, adult and career education, and early childhood education (preschool) settings.
Please help us keep our schools and community safe by wearing a mask indoors as we enter into our season of summer programming and professional development. High quality masks are available at all open OUSD sites.
We are also keeping testing and vaccine locations open this summer. Please consider testing if you have symptoms, have been exposed to someone who is COVID positive, or you are traveling this summer. Please also get yourselves and your children vaccinated and boosted to ensure your safety. Children ages 5 and up are now eligible for a booster at least five months after their last dose. Boosters for everyone ages 5 and up are available at all of our vaccine locations.
Thank you all for everything you are doing to keep yourselves, your families, and our community safe during the pandemic. We are committed to keeping you informed about any future public health guidance changes moving forward.
In community,
OUSD COVID Response Team
