Enterprise Leaves Spacedock with James Horner Score – Star Trek VI – The Undiscovered Country

I’ve been wanting to do this animation for years. This is originally a scene from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, that I re-edited with animations and re-scored with James Horner’s brilliant soundtrack titled “Genesys Destroyed” from the complete score of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.I always felt that, given that The Undiscovered Country was the final journey of the Enterprise, her final departure from Spacedock into adventure was a bit “low-key”. The Enterprise has always been a character for herself, and giving her some moments to shine in her departure to her final voyage would have been great.Around 2010 I did the cover of the Ships of the Line 2011 calendar ( https://ift.tt/bdKg29k ), which I later turned into a tiny little animation ( https://youtu.be/3OAirVmnKeM ). Somewhere around the same time I came across the complete soundtrack for The Search for Spock, and when I heard the track “Genesys Destroyed”, I immediately had the vision for this animation in mind. When I sat down to do a quick edit, the score and the live action scenes fit like a glove.1521 hours of rendering 16854 frames later, we’re finally here.Modeling, Texturing, Animation, Lighting & Rendering all done in Newtek LightWave 3DMultipass Compositing done in Adobe After EffectsRe-editing, sound editing and sound effects in Adobe Premiere and Adobe AuditionThanks (in no particular order) to Alain Rivard, IRML, Matt Christou, Alexander Klemm, David Metlesits, Kevin Riley and everyone I forgot to mention for their help, support and their sharing of fantastic 3d models that I could put inside my Spacedock model.Long story short: enjoy! Please consider supporting me on Patreon (https://ift.tt/VzuLYc1) to allow me to produce more content like this.

Note from Oakland News Now Blog, Zennie62 YouTube, and Zennie62Media: this Oakland News Online Blog video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018, originally on Zennie62Media , Inc.’s Oakland News Now. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. This is what we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a “liked” YouTube video by a vlogger with the Zennie62 on YouTube Partner Channel, then that YouTube video is uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Oakland News Online Blog site and Zennie62Media -created and owned social media pages. The overall objective is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours. Now, news is reported with a smartphone: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, thus less chance for Oakland News Online Blog, Zennie62 YouTube vloggers to be robbed. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners. This process is entirely within YouTube terms of service, where embedding of videos for use on websites and platforms is allowed and encouraged.
