East Oakland Stadium Alliance Mailer On Howard Terminal Is Fake News At Its Best
This mailer is fake news and the East Oakland Stadium Alliance knows it. I know they know it because my friend and their lawyer Mike Jacob has been on my show many times talking about the fact the ballpark is privately financed, which drives the tax increment financing revenue that then will be used to pay for the infrastructure and community benefits.
The East Oakland Stadium Alliance should immediately reject this mailer and apologize for it. The stadium must be privately owned to collect the property tax that drives the tax increment financing revenue, to repeat my point.
This is beyond ridiculous. The City of Oakland will not be on the hook for the bond issue at all.
