California lawmakers clear path for more oversight and traffic tickets for driverless cars

A pair of bills seeking more regulations over the driverless car industry cleared major hurdles in the California legislature this week. The proposed new laws would, in part, close a loophole the NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit exposed that has been leaving autonomous vehicles immune from receiving traffic tickets. Antioch superintendent removes herself from worker bullying investigations after NBC Bay Area report

In an email to board members Wednesday, Antioch Unified School District Superintendent Stephanie Anello announced she is removing herself from the district’s investigative proceedings involving employee bullying claims first reported by NBC Bay Area’s Investigative Unit.
