A pack of urban coyotes is growing larger and more aggressive according to neighbors in Mar Vista. Run-ins with coyotes happen on a daily basis in the neighborhood, at pretty much any time of day. Neighbors reported the issue to the LA County Agricultural Commissioner office in late March.

About 50 people were seen breaking into an AutoZone store in South Los Angeles at around 4 a.m. Monday. A witness told NBC Los Angeles that the thieves stole a variety of items, including rotors, brakes, power tools. Neighbors said the break-in was at about the same time as a street takeover in the area. One arrest was reported.

An explosion of illegal fireworks was caught on camera near the #HermosaBeach Pier. Several people were injured by the fireworks, which witnesses said were set off by a group of teens on e-bikes Saturday outside bars and other businesses near Pier Plaza. Officials said that video helped them identify the teen who set off the fireworks. That boy has not yet been arrested. Police said he could be facing charges anywhere from a misdemeanor of lighting a firework in a public place to a felony assault with a deadly weapon.
