NFL Owners Approved Raiders $11 Billion Succession Plan Egon Durbin To Own Majority Share Of TeamSilverLake Co-CEO Egon Durbin was approved as next in line to own the Las Vegas Raiders. Mr. Durbin will have the option to buy Mark Davis’ controlling interest of the team and become majority owner if Davis chooses to sell. The buy: 7% of the Las Vegas Raiders at an $11.1 billion valuation, Half of that 7% or 3.5% is happening now, with owners voting on the sale this afternoon, with the other 3.5% to be sold to Durban by the end of 2026.Joining Egon Durban is Michael Meldman, founder of Discovery Land Co. This transaction includes a 10% “flip tax” paid to the league, a condition stemming from the team’s 2020 relocation to Las Vegas. The deal also grants Durban a right of first refusal should controlling owner Mark Davis ever sell his stake. Where does that leave the Twitter Shareholder Lawsuit?According to reports, the damages are $2.1 billion and for two tweets Elon Musk himself wrote. Even though Mr. Durban is also credited with structuring the deal, at this point, there’s no sign plaintiffs lawyers have any stomach in getting money from Durban at this time.
