While Mark Davis Says He Was Focused On Oakland, Carson2gether Said Raiders Funded Them

While Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis told Raider Nation fans he was “trying” to get a stadium deal done in Oakland, the Silver and Black had already helped fund an effort called “Carson2gether”, and for a new San Diego Chargers / Oakland Raiders stadium in Carson, California. Carson2gether was formed and active in April of 2015, and the Carson2gether YouTube Channel specifically refers to funding from the Raiders as well as the Chargers.

Yet, when I faced Davis at the May 19th 2016 NFL Spring League Meeting, and with the question of why his organization was spending what is called ‘stadium pre-development’ money in Carson, he looked around as if he was trying to get others in the media to think I was crazy – this is on the video. As you can see, I’m not at all crazy – the Raiders were working behind the City of Oakland’s back. Moreover, there is enough online materal to suggest that the practice continued with the pursuit of a stadium site the Las Vegas Valley. via IFTTT
