CES 2020 Las Vegas Flashback: Robert Scoble’s Flashing Facebook “Like” Hat At CES 2015

Atlanta – Robert Scoble is arguably the first well-known tech blogger. From the perch that is his blog Scobleizer, Robert has presented to us the World of next. Smartphones. Smartglasses. VR. Robert was using it before the rest of us – still is.

As Zennie62Media approaches its 10th straight year of coverage of the event by the Consumer Technology Association, it’s time to celebrate by re-distributing some of the many moments from CES Las Vegas past, from Zennie Abraham’s perspective. That can’t be done without including Mr. Scoble.

Here, Robert arrived to a CES Las Vegas cocktail party event (produced by mutual friend Steve Brobeck) featuring the unveiling of the Chevy Volt and General Motors Electric Cars, with a large hat that lit up when he moved his head a certain way.

Upon closer inspection, it was an illuminated “Like” button photo, replicating the famous Facebook device of the same name. It was Robert taking the two-dimensional social media world and bringing it into our four-dimensional reality, as much to laugh, as to ponder.

As I wrote then “This is one of Scoble’s crazier tech props! It lights up! Robert has more to add in the video. Click and watch.
