BCDC Howard Terminal Meeting Preview Ahead Of Thursday June 30 2022 Meeting At 9 AM PST
The Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) will vote on the application by the Oakland Athletics to amend the San Francisco Bay Plan and Seaport Plan to remove the Port Priority Use Area designation at Howard Terminal at the Port of Oakland in the City of Oakland, Alameda County (BPA 2-19).
This is the BCDC Staff Recommendation:
The staff recommends that the Commission adopt the attached Resolution No. 2022-02
(Appendix A) that would:
1. Amend the San Francisco Bay Plan (Bay Plan) Maps 4 and 5 as well as Table 5, Table 10,
Table 11, and Figure 4 of the Seaport Plan by removing the Port Priority Use Area
designation from 56 acres of Port Priority Use Area at Howard Terminal at the Port of
Oakland;
2. Amend Resolution No. 16 as described in the “Resolution 16” section of this report;
3. Make necessary findings regarding environmental impacts outlined in the
Environmental Assessment (EA); and
4. Make necessary findings that the Bay Plan amendment conforms to all applicable
findings and declarations of policies of the McAteer-Petris Act.

That means the BCDC Staff recommends that Howard Terminal Ballpark be allowed to proceed. All that’s left is the vote itself.
