Naomi Osaka Beat Serena Williams But US Open Owes Serena A Huge Apology

Naomi Osaka Beat Serena Williams But US Open Owes Serena A Huge Apology. And for allowing the Umpire to insert himself in the match in a way that can only be described as unacceptable. He took a game point from Serena that was not necessary.

Still, Naomi Osaka played her tail off and delivered an incredible Naomi Osaka Beat Serena Williams But US Open Owes Serena A Huge Apology number of aces. She is just 20 and will be back.

The code violations were stupid. The coaching claim could have applied to either Naomi’s side or Serena’s side. Serena was right: the umpire was a thief. But Naomi Osaka is the champion. via IFTTT

John McWhorter’s Brilliant Take Down Of Donald Trump’s Speech On “The 11th Hour” On MSNBC

John McWhorter, Columbia Linguistics Professor, former Oaklander and patron at The Alley, and friend, just appeared on “The 11th Hour” with Brian Williams on MSNBC.

In his role as MSNBC’s designated linguistics expert, John was asked to decipher Trump’s speech. Professor McWhorter hilariously compared him to someone’s rather gauche, bare-chested uncle “saying whatever comes to his mind” with a beer in his hand, sitting in a lawn chair, by the pool.

Raiders Lawsuit Update Livestream For 9/5/2018 On Zennie62 On YouTube

But let me summarize:

The City of Oakland Has Not Filed A Lawsuit Against The Raiders And NFL because of the Las Vegas relocation. Not yet.

The City of Oakland has not, as of this writing, filed a lawsuit with any court and against the Oakland Raiders and the National Football League (NFL). So why the rancor? Two words: click bait.

First, the City of Oakland has not filed a lawsuit against the Oakland Raiders as of now.

Second, the Oakland City Council, reportedly to me, gave the Oakland City Attorney’s Office the power to file a lawsuit on its behalf and did so before the recess.

Third, the Oakland Raiders have already signed the lease extension and it was stuck at the City Attorney’s Office for a month before it was returned to the Coliseum JPA for final approval.

Fourth, the Raiders had threatened to move to San Jose if the City of Oakland files a lawsuit. That story I broke August 18th.

SF Mayor Ed Lee Thanks Maria Ayerdi Kaplan Salesforce Transit Center Developer For Her Work

Maria Ayerdi Kaplan received specific thanks and congratulations from San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. This was on March 27th 2013 groundbreaking for Salesforce Tower, located at 1st and Mission in San Francisco.

This new video is part of a longer video of the same event, but never before has any media outlet showed just this part of the ceremony. As Mayor Lee, who passed away on December 12th 2017, said, Maria, in her role as developer of Salesforce Transit Center and the Transbay Joint Powers Authority itself, not only survived three Mayors of San Francisco (Willie Brown, Gavin Newsome, and Ed Lee), but many changes in the market surrounding the transit center, and in development law itself.

Maria Ayerdi Kaplan is the (now former) Executive Director of The Transbay Joint Powers Authority and developer of Salesforce Transit Center, the giant $2 billion terminal that serves to invite buses and eventually trains into San Francisco and from Oakland and the East Bay, and the South Bay Area, California.

Oakland Raiders Should Have Found Money For Khalil Mack – Vlog To Brandon Dawkins

Oakland Raiders Should Have Found Money For Khalil Mack – Vlog To Brandon Dawkins

On Facebook, Zennie62 Fan Brandon Dawkins wrote on my comment on the Khalil Mack Trade to the Chicago Bears “In this case…. it’s all football… Look at the other teams (elite teams) in the league: New England, Green Bay, Seattle, we can even add Carolina to the mix…. who’s the highest paid player on the team? The QB right…. in a quarterback driven league, you take care of the QB. The defensive end/linebacker should never get more than the QB, especially when you know every year there’s studs on the defensive side of the ball in the draft. Paying Mack all that money would have strapped the poor franchise for many years. It might not seem like a great move now but I guarantee it’s gonna pay off in the long run. Now we have the money to take care of Cooper, maybe extend Lynch another season… Mack is worth the money, he was just worth more than what the RAIDERS could afford. Pretty soon Carr is gonna take a pay cuy… give it 3 more seasons”

I firmly disagree.

The Khalil Mack Trade was borne essentially of the Oakland Raiders lack of desire to keep his services. The Raiders wanted Mack to dance to their tune, not work to maintain Mack’s talent as a pass rusher. The idea was that he should come to camp and play.

The Raiders made zero effort to do a sponsorship deal and pay Mack. So the idea that the Raiders are poor is an insult to those who truly are poor. The Oakland Raiders are capable of striking million dollar sponsorship deals with many firms tech or not. The Raiders did not lift a finger to get more money for Khalil Mack.

Moreover, I contend that the Raiders under this group of Davis and Gruden and McKenzie are reluctant to spend big money on black players. The message the Raiders send is a black player should dance whereas a white player or coach is worth spending a lot of money on.

Prove me wrong. I don’t write that with glee but with sadness. In 2018 that pattern should not be. But it is.

Oakland Raiders Las Vegas, Derek Carr, Jon Gruden Spending Forced Khalil Mack Trade

The Oakland Raiders trade of Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears and for two 2019 NFL Draft 1st round picks, should come as no surprise considering the Silver and Black couldn’t afford him. The Raiders, working under the self-levied fiscal gut punch of the expense of relocating to Las Vegas and of signing Derek Carr and Head Coach Jon Gruden to a guaranteed contract worth $100 million, may have budgeted to give Khalil Mack an offer, but had no intention of getting him a block-buster deal.

The Raiders sent that signal with the “Moneyball” NFL Draft strategy they used for the 2018 NFL Draft. Look at Maurice Hurst and Arden Key and Kolton Miller, to name a few: two giant talent players that were sure-fire first rounders in Hurst and Key, but health and off the field concerns had them drop in the Draft, and into the waiting arms of the cheapo Raiders. Miller? He was the target of the Raiders after they traded not up but down to get him. Why? To save money – and because they didn’t have the cash to have a normal NFL Draft.

The Las Vegas Stadium expense is such that, by my estimate, the Raiders are look at least a $500 million deficit in stadium net operating income, unless they can secure a naming rights agreement at least that large, or if not, then at $400 million. Moreover, the Raiders need to secure $1 billion in sponsorships overall, and because of the need to pay back the Bank of America line-of-credit, and pay for the cost to run the stadium on an annual basis. The Raiders have to prove they can match or go beyond the Atlanta Falcons $1 billion in sponsorships for Mercedes Benz Stadium – something the organization has not done.

The Raiders are in trouble. In addition to those expenses, the team was looking at a really high rent at the Coliseum, and no other place to go that they could afford to play at before Las Vegas. The Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Board and Executive Director did the Raiders a favor by reducing the level of rent to pay in exchange for high-dollar donations to Oakland non-profits. That is why the Raiders stepped forward to help the Oakland Public Schools maintain their sports program. No, the School District didn’t know that; they were like the proverbial hiker on the side of the road desperate for a ride out of the desert – the Raiders happened to drive by.

But I digress. From all sides, the Raiders are looking at spending and revenue requirements they can’t meet as of now. Much of the problem is not just of their own decisions, but deal making – or lack of. Want an example of what I mean? Look at how Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones got a $30 million sponsorship deal with Pepsi and Nike in 1995 – that was to pay for getting the services of Deion Sanders. Why couldn’t the Raiders make some kind of deal like that with Apple or some Bay Area tech company? That’s a question that has to be asked – even if the Raiders don’t answer it.

The Raiders need money. The thing is, losing Khalil Mack will cost them more money in lost merchandise revenue. The only way around that problem is to win, and at this point, the Oakland Raiders better run the table. If they can. Many are betting they can’t – and will have a losing season.
