Intensity of rainfall in Texas “beyond anything experienced before”

Houston’s water crisis spread so far, so fast, emergency officials refused to pinpoint which neighborhood was hardest hit. Harvey dumped 24 inches of rain in 20 hours across the city. Floodwaters turned communities into islands overnight, and residents had to scramble for higher, drier ground any way they could. Mark Strassmann reports.

As Hurricane Harvey hit coastal Texas it turned into a Tropical Storm. What forecasters didn’t foresee was the amount of rainfall it would dump onto Houston and the ensuing flooding.

Used ShurTech TRex Tape Which Needs A Tab!

I finally put ShurTech Brands TRex Tape to use, and immediately discovered one major problem: the tape is so strong that just getting a strip off its own roll is a challenge. It needs a tab!

For some reason TRex Tape was made without a free tab so one could pull it off – let alone a kind of way to peel off tape over time. Just pulling the tape off the roll takes a major workout effort. So, until they work out that problem, TRex Tape is not as good as it can be. via IFTTT
